Young Artist Summer Series: Sculpture

Exploring Sculpture: All Things 3D

From clay, to wood and wire, to foil and paper, to plain cardboard with endless possibilities, this class will give you the tools to turn almost any material into awesome 3D art. Let pipe cleaners, beads, and tin foil turn on your imagination, and together, we’ll follow it wherever it leads!

Your class includes a Creativity Kit with everything you need to complete four projects, materials to explore and experiment with, and a fun challenge project. You will also receive a downloadable pdf lesson plan to guide you through the week and access to a daily Zoom class that focuses on a new project each day. On Friday, artists will share their projects and reflect on what they learned.

Projects:

  • Wood and wire sculpture

  • Clay sculpture

  • Foil and paper sculpture

  • Slotted sculptures

Pick up your Creativity Kit from the Picture Lab Studio between 12:00 and 3:00pm on Friday, July 31st. There will be a Weekend Warm-up project for you - then log in to Zoom class from 10:00-11:00am Monday-Friday. Artists are encouraged to send in photos of their artwork to be featured on our website’s Summer Series Gallery, updated at the end of each session!

Session Fee: $30.00
