Wild Silk Workshop I

  • CARNEGIE PICTURE LAB 515 E Main Street Walla Walla, WA 99362 United States (map)

We celebrate National Arts Education Week with our Wild Silk Workshop!

Using wild silk materials from Madagascar, workshop participants will craft unique and creative art projects while learning about the farmers in Madagascar who raise native silkworms and sew beautiful textiles from the silk. Designed for children ages 9-12. Workshop is limited to 16 participants.

Note: Art projects for the September 13th and September 14th workshops will be different. Come to both workshops and create multiple projects using these amazing materials!

Special thanks to Susan Monahan and Mark Brucks for their generosity in funding the purchase of our Madagascar wild silk textiles.

Workshop Fee: $10.00

NOTE: If using a mobile phone to register, use landscape orientation to see your cart when it is full!
